THE EDUCATION QUESTION.

To the Editor of the 'Evening Mail' Sin,— A report having been floated to the effect that I have pledged myself to support, if elected, a separate special vote of money for Education purposes for the Koman Catholics, I beg to state emphatically that I have not made any such pledge, and that such report is wholly incorrect. I respectfully request the electors to disregard such report until I shall have publicly addressed them, when I feel confident I will be able to satisfactorily explain my views upon the Education question, concerning which there appears to be a good deal of misunderstanding and misrepresentation. Yours &c, Albekt Pitt. January 23, 1879.
