As the steamer Mullough. which was telegraphed as having left Westport for Nelson en Monday, has not yet put in an appearance, we presume tbat she has gone on to Lyttellon, whiqh port, we understand, for the I future will be her head-quarters. ' From our telegrams we learn that the Tararua, which left here on Monday morning has had a narrc*^Boape from a similar fate which befel tlfc . Queen Bee, that steamer having been agrlhmd for four hours on the Sandspit. Fortunately the sea was calm, as had it not been so we should probably have had to record the loss of a fine steamer The cause is assigned to the compasses being faulty, owmg to the quantity of iron sand on board, but a very bright look out could not have been kept, seeing that tbe accident must have occurred at daylight. This is the second time that the Tararua has been ashore on the Sandspit, the first occasion being shortly after she commenced running here when Captain Gardyne was in charge of her. b
