Sharp and Pickering report a large attendance at the auction sale to-day, when those two valuable acres near the Church belonging to James Watkins, Esq., were offered to public competition. The first bid was £500 followed immediately by £GOO, the price then advanced briskly, until it reached X'1225 and at tin's sum the Bishop of Nelson became the purchaser. The buyer of the land also bought the remains of the dwelliug-housc for £105 and the stable for £35.
