The -whole of tbe profits are divided amongst the assured, and bonuses to tbe amount of £910,000 have already been allotted. The lsßt division of profits took place in 1874, and the cash surplus tbeo divided amounted to £235,000, giving additions to policies averaging £3 per cem per annum on the sure assured. The bonuses paid on policies becoming claims have varied from £15 per cenl on the sum assured for a policy of five years standing at £150 per cect for one of twenty' five years' duration Bonuses become veste additions to policies when they have teen ful fi?e years in force.
