LoNbq>', Augrtst H. The Queen reviewed 'the ftcel at opitbead yesterday. There \Vere tbi broadsides, eight turrets, six sleep's, and two torpedo boats. The wextiiisr was boisterous, and the evolutions were consequently abandoned, and only salutes were fired. The Queen sailed between the lines. A great many Peers and members of the House of Commons were on board the Euryaius. There were thousauds of spectators, two hundred yachts, and a great number of excursion steamers. One boat was capsized and a waterman was drowned, which was the only casualty. Obituary: Mr GiHillan, of Dundee.
There has been rioting at Ottowa. The Catholics after the Orange procession insulted the Orangemen, and the latter retaliated, using pistols, and a priest's house was attacked and demolished inflicting serious injures.
Mr Roebuck has been appointed a Privy Councillor.
