Thomas Bray, a lad aged 1 1 years, was charged with stealing two purses and sixpenny worth of coppers of the value of 23 Gd, the property of Benjamin Ear!. The offence' was admitted, and the boy was ordered to be whipped by a warder at the gaol. Rose Eliot v. David Kerr. The plaintiff claimed the return of a horse valued at £30, and £30 damages for the detention of the same. The question at issue was the ownership of the horse, both plaintin: and defendant claiming it as their property. Evidence was being taken at great length, and the case was not concluded when we went to press. Mr Bunny appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Pitt for the defendant.
