The Custom, receipts for the week ending this day amounted to £662 8s lOd. The San Francisco mail will arrive here to-morrow morning by the Charles Edward, which will leave Wellington as soon as possible after the arrival of the Stella from the North. The mail will be sorted and delivered at the window at once. The Evening Post says :— We understand that the Rev. J. A. Newfch, M.A., afc present incumbent of Johnsonville, has been appointed to the incumbency of All Saints' Church, Nelson, vacated by the Yen. Archdeacon Thorpe's acceptance of a curacy in Sfc. Paul's Parish, Wellington. If thia be the case Johnsonville will lose and Nelsou will gain a most estimable, able, and hardworking clergyman. A comprehensive preventive and remedy. A medical preparation which so admirably regulates and invigorates the whole internal organism as to protect it against every hurtful influence, and which completely removes the nervous causes which give rise to dyspepsia, urinary complaints, rheumatism, neuralgia, female disorders and general debility, is certainly a most comprehensive and remedy. This is the character assigned by physicians to Udolpho Wolfe's Schiedam Aromatic Schnapps.— Advt.
