It is refreshing to find Ladies and Gentlemen who, ia gratitude for the relief brought them, either go to the trouble and expense of publishing the /act, or writing to th ir friends, teilicg them about the SCOTTISrI HIGHLAND OIL, or. in the sfirit of true gr.uitude, visit the afflicted, and show them bow tbeir agonies may be appeased and their suff rings alleviated. Already a long list of nnmes havo been corolhd, and it is my desire that all who have been cured ahouLi send me their address, not for publ ; cation, but as a satisfaoiion to my own mind, and as a just tribute to the Oils. I think there cannot be any fear of being accused of exaggeration after reading thd testimonials published, ar.d thoße sovr appearing, to say that in the experience of human knowledge there never has been an agent offered to the public which has co easily, p.iin'essly, «nd pleasantly cured to many people regarded by our noble Faculty of medicine a3 incurable ; and is cannot now be 8 lid that profes-ional men have been distance 1 by ordinary mcrcals. I glory iv the fact that I belong, by birth and education to the professional class. I regret, however, that the commercial conditions of things renders it nece3aary that I should adopt a system of action at variance wit'i professional etiquette for the sale of my good*. It i=, however, a great satisfaction to ma tint the grandest cures which could be accomplished anywhere have l:eea done in the very city and country where the discovery was made, and I trust that as people get accustomed to the use of the Scottish Oil, we shall gee hundreds «n<i thousands of suffering humatiity rejoice again in the vig r and strength ol regenerated constitution?. Here follows the most extraordinary list of cures ever presented to the inhabitants ot these colonies:— Fistben Ypabs a Mabttb to Headachb. July 11, 1877. Dear Sir, — It ia impossible for any one to express bis heartfelt gratitude for the relief I now erjoy from a terrible affliction, under which I existed for years. I cau hardly now think of it but with horror. It muat be a great satisfaction for you to know that your Oils can so quickly and painlessly cure. I shall certainly feel bound to tell the good news to all my friends. James Goodwin. £60 Spent, box got No Belief. Testimonial. — Another testimonial respecting Potties Highland Oil has been rteeived by the Agent, Mr C. L. Tweedie. It is as follows: — Sir, for many years I have suffered from rheumatism in the back; and some time ago it cost me over £60 to go to Sydney and have medical advice, without, however, receiving any relief. I determined to try a bottle of Highland Oil, for which you are agent, and have muoh pleasure in stating that after a few applications I was entirely relieved from all pain, and can safely recommend it to others suffering from a similar complaint to mine.— John Mddie, Bombala. Lumbago von. 26 Yeabs. Rylstone, October 7, 1876. To Messrs. White & M'CuUocb, Kylstone. Gentlemen,— l have much pleasure in informing you, as Agents for Potties Scottish Highland Oil, that the said medicine has been the meens of curing me from lumbago, from which I have suffered for the past 26 years, being at times scarcely able to crawl. owiDg to the severity of the complaint. I make this statement feeling convinced that the Oils (S.H.) will cure any one suffering in a like manner. I request that you will give publicity to the above, and remain yours very truly,— John McNeil Beaton. 102, Liverpool-street, Sydney. Dear Sir,— l was laid up for many long months in bed and had tried all the doctors could do for me, but got only woree. At last a man called with a little of Scottish Oil. I was !hen in bed, Buffering terrible agony, with my kgs beat under me. I saw no h"pe for li c; lut the first; bottle of your Oil brought relief, and I coull crawl about. I stuck to the fomentation, Oils, and hot iron, and in two months got the use of my limbs. I can never expect to be perfectly well, for I am an eld man, but I owe all to the Scottish Highland Oil.— Abch M'Eldownt. Newtown. Tffenty-tbree years bad with a tumour on my neck, and trkd no cud of prescriptions, uatil I saw that an operation was my only chance. Fortunately I heard about the Scottish Oil, and by rubbing regularly, the tumour melted away without any kind of pain.— H. Chase, Newtown. Fhom Sydney. Fheeman's Journal. MIRACULOUS.— A most miraculous cure has come under my notice ia Aruluen. A miner in this locality named Duggan had been complaining lor years of a swelling on his breast, which defied the medical skill of the district. Dr Lie well jn, residing ia Braidwood, after vainly experimenting with divers panaceas, &c, advued the patient to go to the Sydney Infirmary After some time he did as he was counselled, but what was the result ? Why, after remaining in the hospital for about nine months untfer the treatment of the leading medicos, he was pronounced incurablei. He returned to Araluea worse in fact than when he went to Sjdney, owing, I suppose to the vast quantities of medicine he had taken, coupled with the fatigue of such a long overland journey, b'ome months ago Mr Carry (Dr Lit wellyn'e servant) suggested to Mr Dupgan to rub the swelling with •Potties Highland Oil.' He did a3 was suggested, and wonderful was the result. The swilling came to a head in a short time, and burst, discharging v quantity ol mutter. In one of these d schargeß a bone came out, it being the sole cause ot the swelling, as cau be testified by the man, whose health has bee n perfectly restored. He is now able to work as usual in the claim. Now, the nut ior your Sydney M.D.'s is, how came the J bone there? My principal reason for writing I this i» to inform those gerjtlemen who attended Mr Duggan at the Infirmary of the mysterious result.— Araluea Corrts ponder, t. Manufactured by J. POTTIE, 263, Eliza-beth-street, Sydney. ;SOLE AGENT FOR NELSON— LOUIS ROTHER, (Late C. Habling) > TRAFALGAR-STREET... 1396
