JOSH BILLINGS' PHILOSOPHY
Josn Billings in his weeldy column of philosophy for the Saturday Satellite, says :-~ A satellite iz but a little thing, but it kan hold this great world in its arms. The tung is a little thing, but it fills the universe with trubble. An egg is a little thing, hut a krokerdile kreeps iuto life out of it. A penny is a very little thing, but the interest on it from ihe days of Cain and Abel would buy out the globe. A minute is a little thing," but it iz long enough to get married in, and have your own mother-in law.
Josh iz but a little thing, but with Billiugs after ifc iz long enuf for 'tarnal flame.
A red herring will keep a man dry better than an umbrella.
