The other who competed, was deemed the Jeaafc fit; from the fact of his having been bus twelve months in the school. Stilly being a boy of very excellent pares, at his -own. and; parents';deßire, rather than seethe school wholly unrepresented, ha was sent op. Allow ua further to state, that it was bo common disappointment, after twelve - months' preparation, which begot the confident belief that we were specially fit for the tussle, to find ourselves excluded. We trust yet to avenge ouraelvas. Tour obedient servants, MAGISTER ET DISCIPULI. To the Editor of ihb « Evening Mail.* Sib; — The late case of Sproule v. Cullen will be a caution to all who suffer from tooth-ache. I would advise Sbose who are so distressed to consider well before they consent to such operation, as it would be far better to put up with the pain than run the risk of Laving a jaw splintered. la this case my wife baa been a great sufferer, and I» a poor man, earning my daily bread whenever I can obtain employment, •have to pay £20 expenses. However, as the Court decided against me, I suppose I must for ever "hold my jaw," which I shall cerlainly do in future without the assistance of a dentist. I am, &c. W. G. Culltsn.
