MORE TURKISH DISASTERS. Wellington, Thursday. The Agent-Generals telegram (undated) says:— General Gourka has taken and fortified a strong Turkish position near Plevna, capturing Achmen Topai Pasha together with the chief of the staff, many Turkish officers, three thousand soldiers, a whole regiment of cavalry, four guns and other material. The Russian loss was great. Prince Maximilian (?) was killed in a reconnaisance under the Czarwitch. The bombardment of Plevna is proceeding, Affairs at Shipka Pass are unchanged-. A large Russian force has j_rrive-d at Khorazan, and compelled Mukhtar Pasha to change his head quarters from Sevin to Copvesi, At Erzeroum the inhabitants are all called to arms in consequence of (&e Russian advance. Kara is being bombarded, and part of the town is in flames.
