London, April 29. The Russians, ancl not the Turks, were routed at Eatoura. The Russians have not occupied Khalafat, and it is denied have anywhere crossed the Danube. Russia threatens reprisals if the Khedive of Egypt helps Turkey, and Prance is dissuading the Khedive from interfering. There has been a further fall in the stock market, and Consols are down to 94. Colonial bonds generally are 1 per cent lower. The Berlin and Antwerp wool sales show a'grcat depression. The prices are lower, and there have been some heavy withdrawals. The wheat market is still rising, and during the mouth there has been au advance of 25 per cent, mainly owing to American speculation; New Zealand, 64s to 68s. Arrived — Waimea. April 30. The Turks have commenced bombarding Poti, Anacria, aud Galatz. The Russian troops have occupied Ismail on the north bank of the Kitia.
The Porte refuses to recognise German protection of Russian subjects. The Powers have rejected the Porte's proposal for mediation. Italy will remain neutral.
