He is shoed all round, put his pehind shoes corned off, and now he haa got on shoes only pefore." A destructive lightning accident occurred lately at at encampment of French troops near Lyons. Three tents were successively struck. No one was in the first ; electricity was carried off from the second by a telegraph wire near by, a soldier standing before it was injured ; in the third three persons were killed and seven were wounded. There were several other casualties in the camp. Every soldier hurt was at the time lying on his iron bed, while the sentries in front of of tho tents which wero struck remained uninjured. The scorched uniforms of those who were killed are to bt, sent to the Academy of Science for examination.
