Paul, Rector of St. Paul's, Stamford, and formerly Archdeacon of the Waimeas, in this province, to the prcbendal stall of Lafford in Lincoln Cathedral. / Bishop Suter, of Nelson, has given Notice that he wishes to meet Avith three /clergymen for the following spheres in his / diocese : — l. For tbe gold-fields on the / West Coast ; duty for the present, itinei rating and making way for a . settled I parish; stipend, £300. 2. To take a [ town in charge, and assist in the education I and preparation of candidates for holy \ orders ; stipend, £300. 3. For a pastoral \ distriet, very healthy and pleasant, settlers all well disposed ; stipend, £250. The Marlborough Express states that Mrs. Robinson, of Spring Creek, has suffered severe loss from a fire which took place on her premises ou. Tuesday last, which destroyed the whole of her crops of corn and hay, a large barn and other outbuildings; and the threshing machinery narrowly escaped destruction.
