SUPPRESSING THE FACTS, OR MURDER, BY ORDER.
Sir,—ln answer to a correspondent, the Wellington "Evening Post" denied that it was the intention of the military authorities to use the Territorials for oversea service, say, in India, China, or Africa, when occasion required. The '.'Post" has evidently not road this extract, written by Captain lliohardson, ■ from the military journal supplied -free to all officers: "Our equipment,' , foe says, "must be such as to enabW portions of our force to operate with the regular army. It is our duty to protect, not only our own shores., but participate in defence of any portion of the Empire." The Colonial Conference, moreover, per "Round Table," after considering proposals for effective co-operation of. all the military forces, including this Dominion's, in the event of war, and concentration in any one spot, passed a resolution agreeing that each part of the Empire take its shore- in the general defence of the Empire. The intention of the military authoities to reqniro the military forces or Territorials in New Zealand to fight elsewhere is evident and hilly revealed, and only the oath to serve his Majesty the King is wanted to make it obligatory and compulsory. You must be a hired mercenary of capitalism or go to jail if you do not produce "pronts" for exploiters; and now ready to go to jail if you will not commit murder by order, —Yours, etc., LOYEE OF TRUTH.
