Field Day at Milson
The field day to be held at Milson aerodrome to-morrow afternoon promises to attract a very large crowd. Jn addition to a normal parachute descent Mr Sellars will make a descent on this occasion from the extremely high altitude of one mile, a feat which on oniy two other occasions he has been successful in doing. The City Band will be in attendance and will render selections during the afternoon while for the first time iu nearly twelve months Union Airways will offer joyrides to the public of Palmerston North in one of their luxurious De Havilland express air liners. Alunicipal buses will leave the Square at half-hourly intervals from 2.15 p.m. for Milson aerodrome and the public is reminded that tho only entrance to the aerodrome will bo by way of Union Airways’ entrance. Admission to the aerodrome will bo by collection only and the proceeds after the deduction of expenses will go to the parachutist. AJ r Sellars has generously offered a proportiou of the takings to tho City Band to assist it in its efforts at the forthcoming band contest.
