Four competitors or no..third pnze, three or no eeco d and three or no first. In the ■event of only two competitois starting for any prize only second money will he given to the winner. All competitors when nominating for any of the Handicaps +o give performances and Handicaps received during last 12 months and number of competitors competing. Any competitor failing to do this his nomination will be declared void and nomination money forfeited. In case of a dispute a sum of money equal to the entrance fee of the race to be dapositod with the Secretary within ten minutes after the race, the fee to be for* feited should the. protest prove frivolous, All disputes to be decided by the Stewards, who decision shall be final. All special prizes to be presented m the Foresters' Hall at 9 p.m. dariag the Pro* menade Concert and Ball which is to be held m the evening for the benefit of the F.S.S. The Society's Handicap is for tnembers of the local lodges of Foresters, Od (fellows, Hechabites, and Druids who have 'been bona fide members of such lodges, previous to Oot Ist 1884 and^are financial at the date of running. All competitors to run m regalia. In each event competitors to compete m full athletic costume. ; Nominations for Handicaps Nos. 3> 7, 11, and 12 will close on December Bth. Hans dicaps to he published m the Times on Saturday 13th' and final acceptances on Saturday tbo 27th All events close 15 minutes before time of starting, The Friendly Societies Cup muet be won jj by the same person twice m succession or ji three times at intervals before becoming | his absolute property. In each event of ' tbe Friendly Societies Handicap the points for tbe Cup sha'l be calculated at follows: | — Ist 6 points-; 2nd 3 points j 3rd 1 point The competitor obtaining the greatest' number of points shall be declared the winner of the Cup, A promenade Ball and Concert will be held m the Foresters' Hall m the evening, \ dancing to commence at 8 p.m. The special prizes will be presented during the evening.
