A RECIPE.
STEAMED MARMALADE PUDDING. Cream 2oz good dripping with 4 cup sugar until quite light and fluffy; add 1 small egg and heat well. Place 2 tablespoons marmalade in 4 cup warm milk and gradually add to dripping mixture. Dissolve 1 teaspoonful soda in 4 cup warm milk and add it alternately with 2 cups plain flour and a good pinch salt sifted together. Mix well and pour into a well-greased basin, three-parts filling it, cover with buttered paper and steam for 28liours. Turn out and serve with a plain sweet saiice. -
