FANCIFUL NAZI CLAIMS.
“PRISONERS TOTAL 1.200 ; 0CO.” BERLIN, June 5. The Berlin radio, in a special announcement issued from the Fuehrer’s headquarters, claims that the British, French, Belgian and Dutch prisoners totalled 1.200.000. It adds that the Germans captured or destroyed rvar materials sufficient to . equip 75 to 80 divisions, and the German Air Force between May 10 and June 3 shot down 1841 ’planes, of which 1142 were, brought down in combat, and destroyed at least 1600 on the ground. The German radio also claims that five cruisers, seven destroyers, three submarines, nine other and 66 merchantmen and transports were sunk by bombs during the British Navv’s attempt to rescue the B.E.F. It claims as well that 10 cru’sers, destroyers, three torpedo-boats, 22 other warships and 117 merchantmen and transports were seriously damaged by bombs. German light naval forces sank six destroyers, two submarines, one transport and one auxiliary warThe radio declares’ that the Allied dead and wounded cannot yet be estimated. ■ ’ ■
