The infantile paralysis notifications for 24 lipurs to 9 a.m. yesterday consisted of one each from Te Puke, Wanganui and Westjiort. Cabinet yesterday decided to lift the restrictions in connection with the infantile paralysis epidemic as from Saturday, April 25, fur the whole of the Dominion with the exception of # the Canterbury Health District. Dr. McKibbin, of tho Department of Public Health, states that the figures fnom tho Canterbury district aro such as to warrant tho reasonable assumption that, on favourable advice being received from tho medical oflico at Christchurch, the restrictions there will also bo lifted. It was further stated that the lifting of the restrictions applies to children, equally with adults, and that they may take part in whatever celebrations on Anzac Day are instituted for them.
