PRIMARY SCHOOLS.
HOUSEHOLDERS’ MEETINGS. FOXTON~SCHOOL. (From Our Own Correspondent). Very little interest was evinced in the annual meeting of householders, held in the school on. Monday evening. Mr M. E. Perreau presided and the old committee was re-elected with three exceptions, and now consists of Messrs J. K. Hornbiow, M. E. Perreau, Kooro Rangilieuea, A. Stevenson, Jno. Ross, S. E. Cowley, D. It. Barron, and W. H. Walton. Mr M. E. Perreau was elected chairman. Tho new members are Messrs Barron and Walton, filling vacancies causxd by Mr A. N. South leaving the district and Mr Geo. Coley’s illness. There was no election as the number of nominations did not exceed the required personnel.
Umutoi.—Tho annual meeting of householders was presided over by Mr John Mackenzie. The retiring committee were all re-elected:—Messrs G. Buckman (chairman), 11. L. King (secretary), John Foot, L. D. Knight and P. E. A. Curtis. Awohuri. —Messrs A. Bond (chairman), W. D. McCallurn, G. H. Matthews (treasurer), G. Hickford and A. Hope (secretary). It was moved by Mr Bond, and seconded by Mr Ilickford, that, on behalf of the householders, a hearty vote of thanks be accorded- Mr Boustield (headmaster), also Miss Johnston (assistant), for their untiring devotion to their work among tho children. This was carried by acclamation.
