TIMARU, September 22.
Wanganui beat Hcuth Canterbury by 5 points to nil. The weather was unsettled arid the ground very sloppy. There was no score in the first spell, but nearing the end of the second spell Symes got a try, and from a difficult angle Takuarangi converted. The teams were well matched generally.

The High School Old Boys play Oriental Fourths, at Wellington, tomorrow. The following team has bean selected to represent the Old Boys :— Full-back. Porteous; three-quarters, Hing, Childs, Webb ; five-eighth, Stag, poole; half, Ryan ; forwards, B. Waldograve (captain); Gardner Bickleben, Browning, Coles, Park, McNabb, Goff, Crump, Luxford, Watoborn, Mather, BglingtoD. The team left for Wellington this afternoon under the management of Mr Foote.
