THE TEETULPA GOLDFIELD.

Adelaide, November 9. More favourable news comes to hand from the Teetulpa goldfields. The Warden sent the following report to the Government last Friday :—"There being water in Brady's Gully, most of the diggers in this gully have been washing, and many obtained good results. Two men well known to me washed all day yesterday, only getting about 2dwts. of gold. This morning i hey sunk a fresh hole on the same claim bottoming at 12ft., when they procured a nugget weighing about 7ozs., and daring the afternoon they washed out nearly 30ozs. of gold. This claim is south of the prospectors'. Good payable gold is being obtained on the rising ground above this claim. North of the prospectors' claim, on the west side of the gully, the sinking is from 16ft. to 20ft., and washdirt is being obtained worth an ounce to the load. I estimate that there are over 1000 men working in Brady's Gully. The special correspondent of the Register, telegraphing today, says—- " A great sensation has been caused in Brady's Gully to-day by a large find of gold in Gosling's Gully. At about noon the news came in, unci in a few minutes hundreds of men were rushing over the low dividing hill into the gully. I visited the spot at about i

p.m., and was shown about 24ozs. of crm.se gold. The finder is Hugh O'K .in, a Victorian, who claims to be one of the oldest diggers in the colonies. He came here last Saturday week, but had no luck until last Friday, when lie found a small nugget weighing ldwt. The balance he found today in deep sinking, the rest upon a slate bed. The largest nugget of his find would weigh about 4ozs. O'Kain is very free 1 n showing the gold. Claims were quickly pegged out from one end of tin- gully to the other. Some men in their «>xciteraent cut into one another's claims, making great confusion. The claims adjoining O'Kain's claim are getting small quantities of gold, and so are some people about six chains below Brady's Gully."
