Friday, October 29. [Before J, Giles, Esq., Warden.] APPLICATIONS. Alexander Reid and party applied to construct a tail-race to connect with No. 2 channel. The consent of John A’Court and party and James Helmes were obtained; but the application was postponed for completion of arrangements between the parties consenting and the applicants. The application of Maurice Joyce and party for an extended claim of six acres at Patrick’s Terrace was withdrawn. G. B. Way applied for a residence area on abandoned ground at Dunedin Flat.—Granted. Charles Hellier, having sold a portion of his residence area No. 43821 at Dillman’s to the National Bank, applied to have the fact endorsed on his certificate, and certificate varied accord-’ns'y-'~Graiited. L. J. Seddon applied for fourteen days’ protection for her interest in extended claim at Ross Terrace,— Granted. The Union Company’s s.s. Tekapo sailed from Sydney on Saturday evening for Wellington.
