The Kumara Times Published Every Evening. THURSDAY, APRIL 29, 1886.

The annual meeting of householders of the Pomiamu School District was held in the school-room, Greenstone, on Tuesday last, at 8 p.m. ; Mr Dwyer in the chair. After a full report of the proceedings of the outgoing committee was read, the electors proceeded with the nomination of candidates willing to act on the new committee, which resulted in the following gentleman being nominated :—Messrs M. Dwyer, J. Nicholas, E. Loiighnan, W. Whitten, W. Morgan, J. Kelly, and T. Rowe. The number of nominations not exceeding the number of vacancies, the Chairman declared the above seven persons duly elected members of the new committee. The Pounamu district includes Greenstone, Westbrook, and the new settlement schools.

The ordinary meeting of the Borough Council will be held in the Town Hall this evening.

The Miners' Ball takes place to-morrow evening, and promises to be as great a success as on previous occasions, a lame number of tickets having been disposed of.

Co. have establishments at London, Paris, Antwerp, Belgium, Breda, Holland and Toronto, and their American Bitters are probably the best known medicine in the world.
