A man nrtrried William Sherwin fell off the train on the Hutt line last nishfc and had both collar bones and left shoulder blade broken. He also received a severe scalp wound, and fractured the base of his skull.

Napier, January 23. The case of Grnbb v. Evening News an action for libel, which was to have been heard on Monday, has been settled, defendants paying £2OO damages.
