The Postmaster-General has received a letter from the New Zealand Government refusing to assimilate the rates of postage on letters via Brindisi to that paid by the San Francisco and . direct lines. Dr. O'Brien's horse Trenton was backed last night to win £15,000, at 50 to 1.
