Wellington, May 8. Tbe Minister of Defence has issued an order that the New Zealand forces are to be clothed in bine cloth, and variations in the facings, if desired, are to be allowed. The Volunteers will be permitted to choose their own colors. Dunedin, May 8. It is believed John Ried who commilte 1 suicide near Tinvmi is the man wanted to give important evidence on the West Waitahuna dummy cases.
