[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph —Copyright. THE ROYAL FRINGES IN IRELAND. RUMOURED ILLNESS OF THE POPE. (Received April 9, 3 p.m.) London, April 8. The Prince and Princess of Wales, and Prince Albert Victor, reached Dublin to-day. Their Royal Highnesses were met on arrival by a vast crowd of people, who displayed much loyal enthusiasm. (Received April 10, 1.30 a.m.) Evening. His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, in replying to the address of welcome presented to him at Dublin, expressed the hope that the present visit would not be the last one he would be able to pay Ireland. A persistent rumour has gained ground to the effect that his Holiness the Pope is suffering from illness, but so far the report lacks definite confirmation. (Received April 10, 2.40 p.m.) RoiME, April 9. His Holiness the Pope, who has been seriously indisposed, is now making good progress towards recovery.
