Intelligence haß come in that the British force which left here at daylight for Hasheen came up with the rebels under Osiuan Digna, and a severe engagement ensued. The fighting lasted fully five hoars, and resulted in the complete defeat of the rebels, who were driven from all their positions, with heavy loss in killed and wounded.
