THE HOSPITAL FETE.

A meeting of the united Committee appointed for the purpose of carrying out the Hospital Fete was held in the Town Hall on Wednesday evening last; present—Mr H. Burger (in the chair), Messrs Palmer, Light, Anderson, Hope, Mansfield, Watson, Jones, Harris, and Nicholson. The Hon. Treasurer (W. Nicholson, Esq.) read the balance-sheet, which was received and adopted. The Treasurer was instructed to hand over the balance to the Hospital Committee, ;6208 Bs, also any money that is still unpaid for tickets, &c. It was resolved that the gentlemen who collected the various donations meet at the close of the meeting. It was moved and carried—“ That the thanks of this Committee be tendered to the ladies and gentlemen who so ably assisted in making the fete such a great success.” It was also resolved that the balance sheet be published in the Kumaka Times.
