+ [new ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] BRITISH AND FOREIGN. London, November 8. Sir G. NYolsdey has gone to Secocoini’s country, and notified that he will make war against him if he refuses to submit. The Somersetshire, s.s., arrived at Plymouth to-day. [Undated.] The Irish landlords, who organised a Defence League, are endeavouring to prove, through the Press and public meetings, that the agricultural distress is greatly exaggerated for political purposes. The seditious and incendiary language of the home rulers is causing serious agrarian outrages. In many districts there is a system of intimidation.
