PICTURE PARTY FOR , MISS PEGGY L0RD A delightf ul party was held recently for Miss Peggy Lord, of Hastings, whose marriage to Mr L. Willis takes place this month. The hostesses were the brideemaids, Miss Eileen Willis and, Miss Betty Lord, and the party was held at the former's home, Balquhidder road, Napier.- 4. savoury tea " was f ollowed by a picture party, and af terwards ' the guests returned to M'iss Willis 's for supper. The • bathroom gifts received by the bride-to-be were very useful, and Miss Lord thanked the guests for their gifts. The guest of honour wore a gown of black panne velvet with a spray of 1 violets. Miss Eileen Willis wore a biaek crushed velvet gown with a corsags spray of roses, while Miss Betty Lord 's efiective dinner frock was of bottle green taffeta, with' multi-coloured - brilliants forming the coUar. Those present were: Mr and Mrs O. 0. Willis, Mr and Mrs P. C. Willis, Mr and Mrs E. A. Probert, Mr and Mrs J. Holmes, Mr and Mrs W. Gardiner, Mrs J. E. Gleadow; Mieses Kathleen.Standing, Barbara Heath; Messrs Les. WiEis. Mac Elliott, Geoffrey Eees, and Perrin Cutcliff.
