A Further Rise SYDNEY, April 12. At the wool saies 9741 bales were offered and 8920 sold, also 388 privately. There was keen competition to-day from Japan and the Continent with good support from Yorkshire on suitable lines. Prices of all well-growrt fleece wools and skirtings were from par to 5 per cent. above the closing ! ra"f8 °* Mst week, while there was an active market for crutchings and lambs' wool. The withdrawals were mainly confined to short and inferior types. Greasy Merino made- 28£d. Th« average price last week was £23 I8s 9d pcr bale or 20. 2d per lb.
