THE TURF Highland Fling Favoured in Sprint Championship

Fields will again be good at Addington to-day, when the feature race of the day will be the N.Z. Sprint Championship. No doubt Highland Fling will carry the bulk of the investments, and w'hat beats L. F. Berkett’s speedster should get the major share of the prize. His most dangerous opponent would appear to be th'? every-day Single Direct, whose performances at the meeting have caused him to be rated highly. Reported to have freshened up nicely since his N.Z. Cup effort, Emulous is also entitled to consideration. He should run out a good ten furlongs. Of the others, Integrity and Maudeen appear to have the best chances of upsetting the favoured division.
