LAND SALES DECISIONS
Yesterday the Westland Land Sales Committee reduced the purchase price of a 17-vear-old Ida Street dwelling from £1,650, as requested by the vendor, C. Neville, to £1,350. The purchaser was C. G. McKechnie. Mr. G. F. Shallcrass valued the section, which had been bought for £l9O in 1931 and subsequently cleared, at £225, making a comparison with other sections sold in the area, while Mr. I. P McMillan, Crown valuer, estimated its value at £2OO. He placed £990 on the house and £B5 on other buildings, giving £1,275 as the value of the whole property. ■The Committee also granted the following applications:-"-W. J. Freston to W. A. Boyd, 20.2 perches, Greymouth, £1,550. —Reduced io £1,400. , W. R. Airey to D. L. Elcock, section, South Beach, £2so.—Reduced to £220. M. E. Stewart to Ellen Donnellan, Eldon Lane, Greymouth, £l,loo.—Reduced to £950. A. H. Tyler to R. A. Tyler, Greymouth, Cowper Street, £750. W. Williams to M. and E. F. Laugeson, Moana, £350. J. G. McMillan to A. J. Delaney, farm, 200 acres, Harihari, £1,900. W. E. Irons to E. R. Fry, house, Kumara, £350. M. Buchanan to W. A. Buchanan, farm, 1,4400 acres, Okuru, £l,OOO. A. R. Granger to E. V. Ford, 900 acres, Kokiri, £1,150.
