Ninety Injured in Riots at Baghdad as Communists Demonstrate
(Rec 910) LONDON, Sept 18. 1 About 90 people were admitted to hospital at Baghdad, ih Iraq , with wounds, while more than 50 persons were arrested, following a demonstration in a suburb of Baghdad, it is believed that Communists inspired the demonstration, reports the Associated Press correspondent. About 300 members of suspected illegal Communist groups staged the demonstration. They clashed with the public immediately on their appearing in the streets. Hand-to-hand clashes followed before the police could intervene.
