Mr Alan Landrebe who has been visiting friends in Kumara lias re-..m-neci to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs Thompson of Invercargill, who have been visiting Mr and Mrs Birss have left to take up a position at a school in South Westland. Mrs W. Cockburn has returned to Riverton after spending a short holiday with Mr and Mrs J. Hunter. Playing at Greyrnouth on Sunday, the kumara tennis team defeated St Columba by 19 sets (137 games) to 5 sets (G 6 games).
