Wellington, in the first innings, was put out for 35 ; Auckland, in the first innings, was put out for 53, much astonished at the way it was done. , Welington, in the second innings, by splendid play, bothered the Auckland bowlers, and made 120 runs. Auckland played carefully in the Becond ianings, arid finally won with three wickets to fall. Betting varied during the day from 7 to 1 against Wellington, to even to lat one time.
