[NEW ZEALAND PKESS ASSOCIATION,] Wellington, April 30. The Provincial Council was opened today. The Superintendent, in his speech, expressed his regret that the principle of Mr Curtis's resolutions, in the last Assembly, as to public works being carried out under Provincial Administration had not been carried out. Auckland, April 30. The Natives generally regard Sullivan's murder as a crime, and fear the future action of the Government ; but nothing has yet been said about giving the murderers up.
