Public Notices. THOROUGH COUNCIL, GREYMOUTH. NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Greymouth, at a meeting thereof to be held at the Council Chambers, Gresson street, Greymouth, on the Bth day of MAY next, intend to consider a proposition to be brought forward at such meeting authorising the Council to borrow by special order the sum of Seven Thousand Pounds, to be secured upon a special rate of One Shilling in the pound, to be levied on all rateable property within the Borough, such loan bearing interest at the rate of six per cent, per annum, and to be applied to the purposes mentioned in the schedule hereunder written, such loan to be repaid by debentures of fifty pounds each, redeemable as follows, that is to say : — Twenty (20) thereof on the first day of October, 1874. Twenty (20) thereof on the first day of October, 1875. Twenty (20) thereof on the first day of October, IS7C Twenty (20) thereof on the first day of October, 1577. Twenty (20) thereof on the first day of October, 1878. Twenty (20) thereof on the first day of October, 1879. Twenty (20) thereof on the first day of October, 1880. The interest on such debentures to be payable half-yearly on the first day of April, and the first day of October, in every year, and dividend coupons for such interest to be annexed to debentures ; such principle and interest monies to be payable at the Town Clerk's Office, Gresson street, Greymouth.
