And while Mrs Oswald cried and lamented, and the good old roan, her husband, sat mournfully with his head in liis hands, the young fellow went off with his captors, to be locked up in gaol of Port Dauphin. One touch of compunction — perhaps the last he ever knew— visited his heart when he saw the grief of the good old couple.
