The Commissioners Powers Act Amendment Bill, Hooper and Norton Registra- , tion Bill, Imprisonment for Debt Abolition Bill, Dunedin Waterworks Loan Bill, Auckland Mineral 'Leases Amendment Bill, Resident' Magistrate's Act Amendment Bill, Southland Waste Lands Amendment Bill, Deceased Wife's Sister Marriage Bill, Wanganui Hospital and Wanganui Wharf and Bridge BDls, have all passed. ...... The Interest Bill, Dunedin Gas and Waterworks Bill, County of Westland Bill, Local Revenue Allocation Bill, and the Insolvency and Juvenile Offenders' Bills have all been discharged. The Provincial Officers' Disqualification Bill was ordered to be read a second time that day aix months! The orders for resuming the debate on Reynolds's Insular Separation and Steward's Grand Juries Abolition : resolutions were discharged. The Government undertook to give effect, as far as possible, to Mr Bathgate's motion in favor of having rolling stock for railways made in : the Colony, and workshops established at Auckland and Dunedin. 8 p.m. Mr Yogel stated that the Government intend to allocate L 50,000 to Westland and a similar sum to the South- West Gold Fields for roads) out of the money to be raised for Middle Island railway purposes ; the expenditure to extend over two years.
