Captain M'Lean, of the ss Albion, has telegraphed to his agentß here (D. Girdwood and Co.), that he will be off this port early on Thursday morning, llthinst. Passengers are therefore informed that the Dispatchwill leave the wharf at 9 a.m. sharp. Henceforward the headquarters of the California Mail Company in New Zealand will be at Dunedin. Mr Driver has been appointed agent at that port by Mr Webb. The schooner Crest of the Wave, from Riverton, with a cargo of grain, arrived at Hokitika on Sunday. The Superintendent of Canterbury has received a telegram from his Excellency the Governor, stating that Captain Challis proposes to bring H.M.S. Rosario to Lyttelton shortly. There has been no appearance of inwardbound shipping for the past two days, and there are no steamers due uptil Thursday, when the Charles Edward is expected to arrive. The brig Magnet, from Melbourne, is now 22 days out.
