The Claude Hamilton, from Melbourne, is hourly expected, and is announced to leave to leave to-morrow for Nelson, Wellington, and other. New Zealand ports. The s.s Alhambra is due to-day from Nelson, and will be despatched to-morrow for Melbourne, direct. . The s.B Waipara arrived from Hokitika at six o'clock last evening. The s.s Kennedy arrived in port from Nelson and Westport, via Hokitika, yesterday afternoon. Captain Whitwell reports leaving Nelson on Thursday, at 11 a.m., and arrived at the Buller on Friday ; took in tow the Maid of Erin, from. Melbourne, and crossed the bar at 11 a.m, Discharged cargo; and left at lam. on Saturday for Hokitika, arriving there at noon. Left Hokitika on Monday midday, but arriving off this bar too late on the the tide had to wait outside all night. She leaves this day for Nelson and Westport. The Flirt has arrived at Auckland from Levuka. She brings the: news that the s.s City of Melbourne arrived there on the 14tb, 24 days out from San Francisco. She brought nine passengers for Fiji, and twenty-one for Sydney, including the Carandinis, who gave two concerts at Levuka, and; the following passengers for New Zealand, via Sydney :— Mr and Mrs Bryden, Mr and Mrs T. Butterworth, Messrs Tuiner, J. Harper, and Matthews. The brigantine Isabella sailed from Hokitika to Lyttelton on Monday, with a cargo of sawn .timber.. Two other vessels, the Maid of Otago and Lady Don sailed for the same destination with a similar cargo, and the schooner Bonnie Lass also took a timber cargo to Nelson.
