Notice is hereby given, iv pursuance of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 18G7," that on TH (TfiSDAY, the EIGHTH day of SEPTEMBER proximo, one-third of the Councillors as«igne<l to each Ward of- the Borough of Greymouth, Retire by Rotation; and that au Election will be held in accordaucc with the provisions of the taid " Municipal Corporations Act," on tho said THURSDAY, the Bth of SEPTEMBER, f«r the ELECTION of One Councilor for the East Ward, iv place of Joseph Kilgour • and for one Couucillor for the Middle Ward, in place of John W. Parkinson ; and also for one Councillor for the West Ward, in place of Joseph C. Moore, so retiring by rotation. And notice is hereby further given that the Poll (if necessary) will commence at eight of the clock a. m., and close at four of the clock p.m. precisely, at the following places for each ward, viz. :— For the East Ward, . In the Volunteer Drill Shed, Werita street. For the Middle Ward, In the Volunteer Fire Brigade Hall, Boundary street. For the West Ward, In the Town Hall, Grcsson street. And furthermore, that the day for the Nomination of Candidates for the office of Councillors is fixed for the 29th day of August iustant, at noon* at the Town Clerk's Office, Gresson street, Greyraouth. All Candidates must be nominated in writing, signed by at least three voters, and by the candidates, and such writing must be delivered to the l.eturiiing Officer, at tho I office of the said Borough Council on or | before eleven o'clock on Monday forenoon, the 29th day of August instant.
