THE STAXTON HARCOURT KUSH.
We regret to say that we have no exciting news of the Stanton Harcourt Rush. There are about a hundred miners on the ground, a few making wages ; the others, induced by the likely 'appearance of the ground for a gold-field, are as industriously prospecting as the inclement weather will permit. A few nice little nuggets, or specimens, have been picked up in the gullies where gold was first discovered. The miners there are the right sort of men, and we may be certain that if hidden treasure exists it .will not be very long before it is byonglit .to -light. — Chronicle. . GILTJERTON. We take the following from the Courier's Gilberton 1.-jtter : the Fourteen-mile, down the river, some beautiful rich gold is being found in the " conglomerate*' itself ,( which completely upsets the theory of some of the scientific geologists) ; the gold is very rich in color, and heavy according to bulk. Several parties are goin^ to prospect around that locality, as 1 expect some news of a rush shortly.
