REV MR LARKIN.
(To the Editor of the Grey River Argus-) Sir — In- your issue of the 26th ult. there appears as local news that the Roy Father Larkin is not likely to have any ecclesiastical standing in New Zealand. Now, sir, I should wish to know from what source such information could be obtained, those dioceses being at present without a Bishop, and no person in power to make or give any such decree in his absence. Then, sir, I think it is the duty of the gentleman entrusted with the charge of this district— if he hits the Christian spirit of hia calling— to answer, in the absence of his brother clergyman (Rev Father Larkin), the indignities referred to in your last issue. —1 am, &c, A Roman Cathouc. Napoleon Hill, Nov. 29. [We must decline to give the information so peremptorily demanded, but have to state, in justice to the clergyman now having charge of the district, that it did not come from him. — Ed.]
