The following comprised the squad: Black, CL H., Ivaiti. Graham, Win., Rakauroa. McFarlane, G. 8., Gisborne. Hart, C. A,, Tologa Ray. Piekon, W., Gisborne. Jerram, AV. G., Tiiiiroto. Evans, D. H., Tiniroto. Smith, CL A., Waikohu. Onyon, J., Tologa Bay. Glingsby, T. W.. Gisborne. Pottitt, L. FT., Gisborne.-, Pollock. G., Gisborne. Williams, F. W. V., Wairoa. Graham. W. lE, Ormond.

Tho men paraded at tho Garrison Hall yesterday morning and again m tno afternoon, and were given instruction in musketry drill and _ other branches by the staff sergt.-majors. There was a large crowd present at tho parade in the evening. The Women’s Patriotic Committee, following their usual custom, issued kite to the men, and supplied them with something to break their fast on the journey, The members of the National Reserve mustered in strong force, and accompanied the men on their maron to the wharf. Headed by the Gisborne City Band, the procession passed along Pool Street and Gladstone Road to the. accompaniment of enthusiastic cheers. A rousing sendoff was given the little company by a very large crowd as the Tuatea drew away from the wharf. Only Messrs G. 11. Black and W. Graham will be accepted as N.C.O.’s at Trentham on their arrival, and the others will have to take th'oir places in tho ranks until vacaneios occur. The men are being taken as N.C.O. s on probation only, and it will sornly depend upon their merit as to what rank they will hold when they join the Expeditionary Force.
