ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
- (Press Association Telegram.) DUNEDIN, July 7. While corning up the Victoria channel this morning, the crew of the tug Plucky observed a man’s body floating near the cement works. On removal to the morgue, the remains were identified, bv Air Daniel Taylor, of Canon gate Street, as those of his soil Thomas, aged 22 years. Deceased was last seen alive at. 7 a.m. on May lu, when he left home to go to work at Hillside workshops, hut failed to put in an appearance. ' ERTHAM, July 7.
* William Johnston, aged 22 years, a porter, was shockingly injured on the railway station last night. He was engaged in shunting operations, and slipped on the rails. A truck ran over him, and his left leg was b idly crushed. He was taken to StraMeid Hospital, where his lee was ampuLi> ed from the thigh. His condition is serious.
